Linford Fisheries Rules

  1. Fish Care: Minimum 15 lbs line when fishing for Carp, Pike and Catfish (including your hook length) – traces or trebles must not be used on Park Farm 1 and 2. Tubing or “safe-zone” style leaders must be used – no naked style set-ups.
  2. Rigs and end tackle: Landing nets must be at least 42 inch when fishing for Carp, Pike and Catfish. Walled unhooking mats must be used and be appropriate for the size of fish you are targeting (if unsure please check with a bailiff before fishing) – Fish care kits must be carried at all times. No Carp to be kept in keep nets and only to be kept in retainers for a maximum of 15 minutes. When using a helicopter rig the lead must be intended to remain on the line and a drop off bead and large eyed swivel must be used (rig checks will be carried out). All inline leads must be drop-off. The one more cast (OMC) magic twig is not permitted to be used on site at all.
  3. Bait: No nuts to be used at all, any live bait must be caught from the lake you are fishing.
  4. Swim Maintenance: Zero tolerance policy on litter it is YOUR responsibility to keep your swim clean – if litter has been left behind, please photograph and report to a bailiff and support the team by cleaning up the swim. No disposable BBQs allowed on site, any fires and BBQs must be raised off the ground. No cutting trees or vegetation without prior permission.
  5. Animals: No dogs allowed. All gates must be closed. Respect the wildlife and animals on site. No Fish are allowed to be moved or removed from site, this will be reported to the police.
  6. Spombs: You are not allowed to use a spomb to introduce bait unless it is used in conjunction with a ‘spomb float’ attachment or a spod that is made to float. This is to help prevent lost/cracked off spombs sinking to the lake bed and causing snags. No baiting poles are allowed to be used on site.
  7. Waders: Wading is only permitted for fish safety purposes (landing, playing and returning fish where necessary) – no water shots.
  8. Rods: you must remain in your swim at all times to be in control of your rods whilst fishing. Rod limits must be adhered to and can be found on the lake description.
  9. Banned: alcohol, drugs, drones, firearms, bait boats, boats, swimming. Noise to be kept to a minimum, please respect your surroundings.
  10. Driving: there is a strict 5pmh speed limit across the whole site. Driving is only permitted to designated areas as shown on the site map. Any driving outside of the designated areas will result in an instant ban. Those with permission to drive to their swims are only allowed to do so for fishing purposes, this privilege is not permitted for social reasons. All driving through site is seasonal and subject to change.
  11. Guests: Guests (both fishing & non-fishing) are only permitted with prior arrangement and charges may apply. The angler is responsible for the guest and the guest must remain with the angler at all times. Guests must be escorted on and off site by the angler.
  12. Rod Liscence: all anglers must posses a valid Environment Agency Rod fishing liscence.
  13. Property: Linford Fisheries is not responsible for any property on site, all property is left at the owners risk.
  14. Bailiffs decision is final. There is a zero tolerance policy for any abusive or rude behaviour towards the bailiff team.
  15. Environment Agency: EA by-laws must be adhered to.
